Amanda Troyer, Future Olympic Gymnast; One in a Million
Amanda Troyer, Future Olympic Gymnast; One in a Million
Ever since my daughter, Amanda, has been old enough to be on her feet, well she hasn’t been on her feet much at all, more like born on her head and hands.
A leisure walk in the park with her family, Amanda was found cruising along on her hands rather than her feet. She felt right at home to be able to flip up over the nearest couch landing on her head with her feet stuck to the wall or even better bopping up against a window leaving her happy footprints!
It’s like she’s been riding the wings towards a future Olympic gymnast!
Born with flexibility and constant movement with her body, Amanda makes it look easy to kick those legs in the air and bend backwards.
Amanda, 9 years old now, showcases herself as a tenacious gymnast, putting on quite a show for family and close friends.
The Ideal Way to Win a Championship is Step by Step.
She delights in watching the determination and focus of the gymnastic pros on TV, and has her sights set on Jordyn Weiber and Gabby Douglas. These two talented, young girls are in the spotlight of gymnastic competition in this year’s London Olympics.
Amanda is excited to follow the progress of these two girls in the London Olympic Games. The New York Times described Jordyn Weiber and Gabby Douglas as the same team, but worlds apart.
Future Olympic Gymnast- Believe in Dreaming Big
Amanda has also been inspired by another dynamic gymnast, Shawn Johnson, who has become a role model to many young girls.
With enthusiasm, Amanda’s eyes were glued to the TV as she watched Shawn perform with strength and diligence on ABC’s hit show, Dancing with the Stars in 2009, becoming the youngest competitor to win the coveted mirror ball trophy.
Amanda, like other great gymnasts, has a glow of competitive ora even when she is showing off moves in the comfort of her own home.
It seems a future Olympic gymnast is in the making as Amanda continues endless flipping, bouncing, twisting and learning better balance with much determination and focus of her own.
Even though Amanda has had little training from a coach or trainer, her perpetuating passion for gymnastics motivates her towards her dreams of one day holding the Olympic Gold Medal, allowing it take her all the way to becoming that Future Olympic Gymnast!
